The Five Impact Pillars

The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) has developed the Five Impact Pillars to guide the work of Junior Leagues around the world. These pillars help us focus our efforts and clearly communicate the breadth of our community impact. The volunteer efforts of 298 Junior Leagues are organized under these five main pillars:

  1. Advancing Women’s Leadership for Community Change
We empower women to become effective civic leaders by providing training, mentorship, and volunteer service. This equips them with the tools needed to address the most pressing needs in our community.
  2. Eliminating Inequity, Bias, and Stereotypes
JLPGC works to dismantle barriers preventing women and girls from reaching their full potential. Through advocacy, educational initiatives, and awareness campaigns, we strive to create inclusive, equitable environments where all individuals can succeed.
  3. Centering Women and Girls’ Wellness and Safety
We are committed to supporting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of women and girls in our community. Our initiatives raise awareness on critical issues like mental health, domestic violence, and access to healthcare, ensuring that women and girls can live safe and healthy lives.
  4. Supporting Families and Caregivers
Strong families are the foundation of strong communities. JLPGC supports families by developing programs that help caregivers navigate child-rearing and eldercare challenges, focusing on literacy, educational support, and financial literacy.
  5. Convening Women Leaders for Collaboration, Networking, and Service
JLPGC creates spaces for women leaders to collaborate, network, and serve. By fostering unity and collective action, we amplify our impact through events, leadership training, and community service projects.
