New Member Commitments

Thank you for your interest in joining the Junior League of Prince George’s County (JLPGC), an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We are excited that you are considering becoming a part of our community-driven mission and making a lasting impact in Prince George’s County.
As a member of JLPGC, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of volunteer opportunities, contribute to meaningful community initiatives, and build leadership skills that will empower both you and those around you. If you are at least 21 years old and have a passion for community service, we hope you’ll consider joining our League.
Junior League of Prince George’s County: Membership Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for membership in the Junior League of Prince George’s County, a woman must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Attend a mandatory JLPGC Open House
- Show a strong interest in volunteering, demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact in Prince George’s County, and have a desire to develop leadership skills.
- Complete the New Member application and submit a non-refundable $50 application fee.
- Provide a letter of recommendation from an active or sustaining member of The Junior League (please submit in Microsoft Word or PDF format).
- Attach your resume (applications will not be considered without both a resume and letter of recommendation).
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in women’s leadership and community service in Prince George’s County.
- Acknowledge and be able to meet the obligations of League membership and the New Member requirements.
